Aldebaran Robotics

Aldebaran Robotics is a french company , Which is developing a french humanoid robot autonomous and programmable Nao, in the project of the same name (Naoproject).

Bruno Maisonnier, the founder of Aldebaran Robotics, is convinced since 25 years of the advent of the era of personal robotics. During those years, he developed prototypes, evaluating technologies, met research teams and analysed markets, but also led businesses in multicultural contexts.

The increasing power of mobile technologies and meet of key people have made the adventure possible : He created Aldebaran Robotics in 2005, the first French company humanoid robotics.

Aldebaran Robotics now has a team of 20 people who will be strengthened progressively during 2008 and financial resources fully dedicated to the development of its first robots.

NAO, the prototype humanoid robot developed by Aldebaran Robotics has been selected by the Robocup international federation as standard platform from 2008, replacing the Sony robotic dog Aibo.
