Al Qiyamah

Al Qiyamah is Arabic for the Resurrection, also known as the Day of Judgment.

According to a report in the Saudi-owned newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat it is also the name of an Iranian plan for its planned response to a military strike against that country and supposedly involves suicide operations targeting the interests of the United States, the United Kingdom and their allies in the region.

It is claimed that the plan includes five stages:

#A missile strike against US bases in the Persian Gulf and Iraq, as soon as Iranian nuclear installations are hit.
#Suicide operations in a number of Arab and Muslim countries and against US embassies, missions, military bases and economic and oil installations related to US and British companies. The campaign might also target the economic and military installations of countries allied with the United States.
#Attacks by the Basij, Revolutionary Guards and pro-Iranian Iraqi fighters against US and British forces in Iraq, from border regions in central and southern Iraq .
#Rocket attacks by Hezbollah against military and economic targets in Israel.
#The fifth stage is unclear, but is described as likely to cause civilian casualties through the use of chemical and biological weapons as well as detonation of Dirty bombs in Western and Arab cities.

The newspaper also reported that, in the event of continued strikes against Iran, Shahab-3 missiles would be targeted against Israel and that the al Quds Brigades would co-ordinate attacks against civilian and industrial targets by terrorist cells in Canada, the US and Europe.
