Air Bud: Aussie Rules is the upcoming sixth film in the Air Bud series (excluding the Air Buddies spinoff series).
Plot
Now in development, Air Bud : Aussie Rules, again features the character of Andrea Framm, the original lead’s (Kevin Zegers as Josh Framm) sister.
According to what has been given by the company:
"Andrea Framm is starting senior high, and has a bad case of the jitters. Then she meets Rod Palmer, a handsome exchange student and star rugby player from Down Under. Andrea knows nothing about rugby, but signs up for the school team hoping to get Rod's attention. When Andrea displays less than stellar performance on the field, Buddy the dog comes to the rescue. Practice makes perfect, and soon Andrea is scoring points like a pro. In recognition of her newfounding skill, Coach Palmer gives her the most sought-after position on the squad. But all Andrea's efforts to get his son to notice her have backfired - now Rod resents her for taking the position he thought was his!
Meanwhile Andrea's younger brother Noah is taking karate lessons from a wise old Sensei at the local dojo. Air Bud tags along, and impresses Master Ho with his Zen-like approach to the martial arts. Soon all the students are doing the "Air Bud kata"! When Andrea's best friend Connor is sidelined by an injury, things look desperate for the Timberwolves… until Buddy shows them that he knows his way around a rugby pitch! Coach Palmer's team embarks on a winning streak that catches the eye of his arch nemesis, Coach Ermey of the champion Australian junior team. Nursing a bitter rivalry that goes back years, Ermey challenges Palmer to an exhibition game. The prize? Tickets to the Rugby World Cup in Sydney.
But Ermey isn't about to leave victory to chance. Determined to find an equaliser to Fernfield's M.V.P. Air Bud, he recruits the unlikeliest ringer of all - a rugby-playing kangaroo! With just hours left before the big game, the unthinkable happens - Air Bud disappears. It's up to Noah and the other karate kids to get Buddy to the field on time for the most outrageous athletic matchup of the year!."

Air Bud: Aussie Rules is the first movie in a planned trilogy by Disney. The second movie, titled Air Bud: From Aussie with Love, will be the seventh movie in the Air Bud series (excluding the Air Buddies spinoff series). There are no plot details as of yet.
