Aid Children Without Parents

Aid Children Without Parents (ACWP) is a humanitarian non-profit organization for helping Vietnamese orphans and refugees. Established in 1988 by Nguyen Dinh Huu ("Bac Huu").
The Organizations provided assistance for displaced Vietnamese minors in refugee camps throughout Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong) in the late 1980s. Such assistance included free classes at refugee camps, healthcare services, recreational and youth activities, seasonal celebrations, Christmas festival.
In 1994, the first ACWP office in Vietnam (Huế) was opened for helping repatriated refugee children, who did not find resettlement in third-party countries and were sent back to Vietnam.
At present (2007), the institution supports the orphaned and needy children in the rural and remote areas of Central, Highland and South Vietnam.
In 2005 in partnership with the World Financial Group, ACWP sponsored a $40,000 project for building a dormitory in Hanoi.
In partnership with other agencies the Organization is fighting against the children trafficking in remote areas along the border of Cambodia and southern Vietnam.
