On 28th September 2015, an Aer Lingus Boeing 757-200 aircraft operating the daily scheduled flight EI-110 from New York JFK to Shannon Airport experienced serious problems with the hydraulics systems. The pilots lost all power in one hydraulic system and all systems were leaking hydraulic fluid over Long Island. The aircraft was forced to circle Long Island five times before making an emergency landing at JFK airport. Everyone was evacuated and EI-LBS, which was on lease from ASL Airlines Ireland, was towed back to the apron. The aircraft was pub out of service and investigated and repaired, and then flew out the next day to Shannon.
