Adewale Adetona

Adewale Adetona (a.k.a iSlimfit) is a Nigerian tech entrepreneur. Adetona is the co-founder of Menopays; a Nigerian financial technology (fin-tech) company. He is considered one of the pioneers of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) across Nigeria.
Early life
Adetona was born in Ogun State, Nigeria. He graduated from Lagos State University and obtained his MBA at Business School Netherlands (BSN).

Adetona's focus in Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) financial technology is characterized by focusing more on basic necessities (like Malaria drugs) as opposed to luxury goods. In 2020 Adetona, launched a Menopays platform for local merchants that helped increase the purchasability and access of basic goods for poorer locals by offering four installments. <ref name=":4" />
Notable achievements
In 2017, Adetona launched Lagos Digital Summit to help Nigerian entrepreneurs remain up to date with advancing business practices across the globe. Lagos Digital Summit draws around 1,000 participants yearly, featuring business leaders from across Nigeria.<ref name=":2" />
