Adam Gehrke

Adam Gehrke (born February 26) is a traffic anchor and news reader for KCPQ-TV, KPLU-FM, and KIXI-AM in Seattle Washington. He is also a composer of indie film scores for such films as The Book of Zombie , a film critic, actor, and magician.
Early Career
Gehrke initially got his start in media while still in high school as an intern for "The Late" Cathy Faulkner at KISW-FM in Seattle. Upon graduation he attended college at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma Washington and became heavily involved with the campus radio station, KUPS-FM. While at KUPS Gehrke was first hired as the Program Director, eventually assumed the role of General Manager and once graduated became the station Operations Advisor. While in college he also worked as a board operator for KKMO-AM and KLAY-AM in Tacoma Washington. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a major in communication and a minor in music in 1998. For about a year in college he played bass in SKWAT, a heavy metal cover/tribute act to the band GWAR. and is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
