Adam Equipment

Adam Equipment is a UK-based company that was started in 1972. It opened in Bletchley which is now part of Milton Keynes. The company started as a sales and service organisation; in 1985 they moved into making industrial scales. In 2019 the company was acquired by Indutrade AB.
Adam's distribution channel is maintained by wholly owned facilities located in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australia. These locations provide technical, warehouse, sales and marketing assistance to all of its customers. Adam Equipment has research and development based in the UK head office.
International growth
As the company grew an opportunity came along to open up in South Africa. In 1990 their first international office was born, today the South African division is the largest scale and balance manufacturing company in that region and the only global supplier of scales and balances to have a fully staffed office to maintain its business.
Other Adam facilities soon were established - USA in 1998 and Australia in 2006. In 2005 the company was the first UK company to establish a wholly owned manufacturing plant in China without partnerships with trading companies. In 2014 Adam announced plans for a new sales and distribution centre in Germany. AE Adam GmbH, a newly formed subsidiary company of Adam Equipment, is located in a new building in Felde, Germany, and serves Germany and parts of Europe.
