ActionScript Foundry

ActionScript Foundry is an open source framework. It was created by the ServeBox company. The project contains productivity tools and an ActionScript 3 / java framework specialised in Flex applications' development. It is under Apache 2.0 licence.
History
The ActionScript Foundry framework was conceived in 2005 then proposed to the Open Source in 2007. Since, it is available on SourceForge.net.
Architecture
The ActionScript Foundry is based on different design patterns. The framework offers a reduced development life-cycle thanks to tools it offers like model-views data synchronisation, browsing, access control list, internationalisation and externalisation of labels… The framework consists in five libraries.
Commons
This library contains basic types, advanced arrays and tools for the manipulation of objects.
Foundry
The Foundry library is the heart of the framework. It implements multiple design patterns.
AirFoundry
It is an extension of the micro-architecture so that it can be used un Adobe Integrated Runtime.
Toolbox
Contains libraries of advanced tools (browsing, ACL, full-text search, etc.).
Foundry-Java-Commons
Contains java classes. It conceived to optimse and fasten (Adobe Flex)/ (FDS-LCDS-BlazeDS) server client developments.
