Acousticophilia

Acousticophilia is a form of paraphilia where sexual arousal is derived from sounds like music, poems or foreign-language chitchat. People with this condition usually have a specific interest, such as female Japanese conversation. Melolagnia is the term for music-related acousticophilia. This extremely rare paraphilia was mentioned in Cosmopolitan (Australia) July 2005.

In the film, A Fish Called Wanda, the character of Wanda Gershwitz displays acousticophilia.

Also, in the film Belle de jour, the character Séverine has several sexual fantasies which involve the noise of carriage bells and mewing cats, which she has an unexplained fascination with.

In the TV series, The Addams Family, Gomez Addams was aroused by his wife Morticia speaking French.
