Achuthanand Ravi

Achuthanand Ravi born june 22,1991,in Chennai,India,known by his cricketing name JR MENDIS or Carrom holder, is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Karnataka state cricket , India u-19's and in DPL. He is the youngest player in the Bangalore colts team played in the Dubai premier league.He has a batting average of over 60 in first-class cricket. He was picked for the India Under-19 squad's tour in 2006-2007. His highest score in first-class cricket is 187* against Assam.The performance of the latter in this match earned a call in the Karnataka ranji side
Career
As a teenager,Achuthanand Ravi was a wicket keeper, competing at state-level but he failed to progress in a greater extent.Until the age of 17, he hadn't bowled with a leather ball. Royal Challengers Bangalore's head coach Ray Jennings eulogised about him, describing him as an tough spinner to bowl the ball as flat as possible with immense turn , but he had a quiet IPL. practice matches and net bowling chances.His first-class debut reinvigorated the potential; he claimed six wickets in the first innings, followed by five wickets in the second, but his Karnataka coach Sanath Kumar was not surprised; "From day one we knew he had the potential,of turning the balls in greater extent with his carrom ball and he has performed in every game, whether it is junior cricket or first-class cricket".He is currently pursuing his engineering at sri chandrasekharendra saraswathi viswa mahavidyalaya, Enathur , Kanchipuram. He plays for Swastic Union Cricket Club (I) in the KSCA Group, I Division. Achuthanand, an aggressive opening bat and also a dynamic fielder in the Karnataka state can be seen in the Indian squad soon....!
