Ace the Himalaya is a travel company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It offers a number of trekking and tour packages mainly in the Himalayan regions of Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. It was founded by Prem Kumar Khatry in 2006. It has served more than 2,000 trekking groups as of now. Social Work Ace the Himalaya supports a lawfully registered non-governmental organization named Sambhav Nepal Foundation, which mainly looks after education and sanitation of some remote villages including Aarupokhari, in Gorkha district of western Nepal. The organization also sponsors some neediest and talented children for their education and the sponsorship is enabled by Ace the Himalaya. Additionally, it also provides its interested clients the opportunity to travel and volunteer in these remote villages of Nepal, under its special program called Voluntourism. The participants of this program volunteer at schools and local development activities. Some Policies Environmental Responsibility Ace the Himalaya has policies for environmental responsibility for its clients and staff while traveling. It always promotes environmental protection at all its packages and programs. Besides, Ace the Himalaya also conducted a special event of cleaning the polluted Bagmati River in Kathmandu, to mark its seventh anniversary. Porter’s Policy Ace the Himalaya respects the employees such as porters and trekking guides. It has special policies for their working, training, safety and improvement. International Affiliations Ace the Himalaya is affiliated to US based American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Also, it has participated in different international travel conferences such as World Travel Market (London).
