Abigail Basset is an American Journalist and news correspondent, who covers topics including business, the economy, automotive and transportation, health and wellness, travel, technology and social justice. She is a former senior producer from CNN and has been a freelance jorunalist since 2014. She has has written, reported and appeared on camera for publications that include the The Atlantic, The Verge, Elle Magazine, TechCrunch, CNN, National Geographic, Fortune, and many others. She is also a successful podcast host and is in production on a show focused on the hidden ways in which economics impact our daily lives. She regularly moderates large-scale panels and live events for everyone from the Small Business Administration, to SXSW, JBL, Fast Company and Inc. Magazine. Bassett is also the founder of the journalism jobs newsletter, Six-Figure Journalism Jobs, which helps senior journalists find calls-for-pitches and full-time remote journalism jobs that pay a real and living wage. Over the course of her career, she has won two Emmy Awards, and a Peabody.
