Abdul Basit Syed

Abdul Basit Syed is a British Entrepreneur and Global Peace Activist. He is the former Mayor appointed International Ambassador of Croydon, U.K.
Early life
Abdul Basit Syed was born in Tamil Nadu, India, where he lived out his childhood years until migrating to the United Kingdom in his early teens. Inspired by his grandfather PKS Kattuwa Mohaiyadeen, an Indian Freedom fighter and leader of social activities and community services.
Social Activist
Abdul Basit Syed is the founder of World Humanitarian Drive, an International NGO founded in Croydon, U.K. He is also the vice president of Space Kidz India, an organization for creating "young scientists" for the Nation and spreading awareness among children for a borderless world.
The inaugural Trilateral Global Summit convened by World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) and Abdul Basit Syed was held in 2019 in London with participants from over 25 countries.
World Moral Day
Abdul Basit Syed initiated the “World Moral Day” campaign through “World Humanitarian Drive (WHD)” by organizing a meet with students event of a large scale, named “Passport 2 Future” at Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai, India. This campaign is to emphasize the significant need to practice morality in the minds of every individual in this world, by connecting leaders and U.N Envoys of various Countries to lobby their support in favour of making a petition for the United Nations to declare a day in a year as "World Moral Day".
Honouring The Honourable
Abdul Basit Syed set up a noble initiative though WHD called “Honouring the Honourable”. Under this initiative the popular men and women are felicitated from around the world. He takes pride in honouring all those selfless contributors with Global Awards "Humanitarian Award" as a mark of international recognition for their services to this world.
