. Aaron Rios is a Puerto-Rican American singer, song writer, artist, and currently the lead singer, guitar player and principle songwriter in the band "Sonnet to Sleep" http://www.myspace.com/Sonnettosleep Born in New York and raised in Miami; Aaron was offered a music scholarship at the age of eleven after successfully completing Ala Turca "The Turkish March" by Mozart entirely from memory and learned by ear during an impromptu audition set up by his middle school music teachers which would accelerate him through middle and high school and eventually land him placement to The Juilliard in New York City. However, this never came to fruition as he and his family were displaced after Hurricane Andrew (1992) destroyed his home forcing him to be moved multiple times throughout his childhood. During his time in transition Aaron abandoned his pursuit of music, only to regain a passion and love around the age of sixteen. Aaron's first recorded band Area 51 was recently located on Myspace- http://www.myspace.com/Areafiftyonelives Aaron Cites his musical roots as being a diverse-synchronistic-blend of CCM, (contemporary Christian music) to which he credits his mother and a mixture of Barry white, the Bee Gees, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Ray Orbison, the Beatles, Queen, and Parliament which he credits his father.
