Aardwolf is a free-to-play multi user dungeon (MUD) video game developed in 1996. It has been recommended in the past as a beginner-friendly introduction to the MUD genre, partially due to its integration with MUSHclient. This integration is one of Aardwolf's most significant features, as it provides the game a "unique, semi-graphical user interface." By creating a unique version of MUSHclient, Aardwolf is able to display multiple windows instead of just one text box, and nowadays includes health and experience bars, as well as maps. Aardwolf was featured in a dissertation looking at art in video games.
