The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) is an Indian media and arts college located in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1993 and has an affiliated ed-tech platform named AAFT Online. Filmmaker Sandeep Marwah is AAFT's founder and president. History AAFT was founded in 1993 by Sandeep Marwah. It is located in Noida Film City, Uttar Pradesh, alongside the film studio Marwah Studios. In 2018, Sandeep Marwah’s sons, Akshay and Mohit Marwah, co-founded the affiliated AAFT University in Raipur, India. AAFT University formed partnerships with the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and offered classes similar to its predecessor in Uttar Pradesh. In 2021, Mohit and Akshay Marwah launched the affiliated edtech platform AAFT Online. AAFT has partnerships with Budapest Film School, the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the University of Cape Town, In addition to cinema, AAFT offers courses in media-related subjects such as music, photography, journalism and mass communication, and fashion design. AAFT Online has offered many of the same courses as the main AAFT curriculum, such as media, journalism, cinema, and performing arts. AAFT Online has also offered courses in retail management and healthcare.
