A Part is a 2008 short film directed by David Sowden and written by Sowden and Nicholas Zebrun. It involves two people who are emotionally and sexually isolated from others, going through the monotonous rigours of the day with little-to-no enthusiasm for life. Production A Part was David Sowden's directorial follow up to White Powder. The initial story was conceived by an acquaintance of Sowden's who had gone through a similar period of isolation years earlier. The choice to do the film almost entirely without dialogue came after several poor attempts had been made to write exposition and backstory for the characters that fell short of the writers' intentions. A Part is scheduled to be the first in a trilogy dealing with isolation and desertion amongst people. The other two entries are, as of yet, undetermined. Cast * Aidan Simon as the Man * Lucinda May as the Woman
