right A D Dawson (born November 10, 1960) is an English short story writer, poet, and playwright. Most of Dawson’s work can be seen on the internet and he regularly contributes to webzines such as The Dream People. His work is also included in various anthologies (both in print and on the internet), and his tale, "The Nutter on the Bus" (2003), is included in the anthology, Sick: An Anthology of Illness. As a graduate in literature, Dawson, who lives in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, is fascinated by the storytelling of the Victorian writers and he writes in a style which complements the Victorian age. It is difficult, therefore, to place Dawson into the camp of any group of writers. His work has been described as surreal, absurd and lately has been embraced by the Bizarro fiction genre. Writer and editor, Bradley Sands has included Dawson’s work in his journals of absurd and surreal fiction, Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens. A D Dawson is an active part of the The New Absurdist writers movement. Latterly two of his short stories and his novella, "The Instigation Bureau," have appeared in The Swallow's Tail, an American published literary journal for surrealism, science fiction and Bizzaro. A key theme, which runs through many of Dawson's works is his notion of subjective reality.
