7zX

7zX is a file archiver for Mac OS X that handles the 7z archive file format. It was distributed to the public a few weeks after the release of the 7-Zip Command Line Interface for POSIX systems, which it still uses as the default compression/decompression engine.
Later revisions of 7zX including additional features including retaining OS X-specific information within archives, creation of self-extracting archives, as well as integration with the OS X Finder and Growl platform. Since version 1.5, many of the additional options provided by the 7-Zip compression core can be accessed from within the 7zX application.
