300 Years of Khalsa

The Khalsa panth was established by Tenth Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh Ji on Baisakhi Day on 13.04.1699 at Anandpur Sahib in present Day District Ropar of India. The 300 Years of the establishment was celebrated in India by all Sikhs and Hindus in the historic city of Anandpur Sahib on 13.04.1999. The Punjab Government had made ealorate arrangements for the occasion and had also renovated exisiting Gurdwaras in the historic city. The Local Newspapers like The Tribune published from Chandigarh released special editions to cover the event. A lot of books have been written on the subject. The Govt of India also planned for the celebrations.
