2N Telekomunikace

2N Telekomunikace a.s. is a European company with headquarters in Prague operating in the field of development and manufacture of ICT and physical security products. To 2N's portfolio belong primarily to IP intercoms for door communication and emergency calls, complex IP access control solutions, IP Audio systems, elevator systems, M2M products, or telecommunication systems. All products meet stringent international standards (ISO, TÜV, UL, CE) and are compatible with third-party systems (ONVIF, Milestone, Cisco, Bosch, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, and others). The products are manufactured and assembled in Europe and exported to more than 140 countries worldwide with main markets in the US, Italy, and Germany.
History
2N Telekomunikace was established in 1991. The name comes from the street name of its first address in Prague, Na Nivach (English: in the meadow). Within one year, its first telephone exchange Ateus 280 was launched. In 1993 the company started to export its goods. Two years later, in 1995 with Ateus 420 exchange, it reached a peak market share of 14% in the Czech Republic. In 1998, the first analogue of GSM gateway allowed to save on calls to mobile networks.
In 2000, a 2N® StarGate was made to connect mobile and landline telephone networks. The company changed its legal form from a limited liability company to a joint-stock company.
In 2005, the company started to work on IP and online communication and introduced its first 2N NetStar IP Telephone exchange. The portfolio of products included an IP intercom, IP Audio, and IP Access Systems (2013).
In June 2008 2N Telekomunikace launched the world's first IP intercom on the market. This intercom is named 2N® IP Vario.
In 2011 they opened a branch in the US and later, in 2014, in Italy.
In January 2016 an IHS study revealed 2N Telekomunikace as the leading one in the IP intercoms market. In June, the company was acquired by Axis Communication.
In February 2017 2N Telekomunikace introduced 2N® Mobile Video service, which allows home owners receive calls, including a video, from their 2N intercom on their mobile phone and open doors remotely.
In March 2018 2N Telekomunikace presented the world's first LTE Intercom. It is 2N® LTE Verso, which is looking forward to its increasing popularity.
In 2019 2N Telekomunikace presented new answering unit 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 which is based on Android. It is ideal for controlling a smart home. The next year 2020, they expanded their portfolio of answering units with 2N® Indoor View.
Corporate social responsibility
2N Telekomunikace promotes transparency internally and externally. 2N Telekomunikace supports many nonprofit organizations either by mentoring or educating their staff members about management, buying products from sheltered workshops, or participating in competitions raising awareness of disabled people's needs.
Considering the environment, 2N Telekomunikace is ISO 14001:2004 certified company. The company's headquarters produces solar power for its consumption, the employees sort waste, don't waste water, paper, and energy, or follow rules for switching the air condition.
