Gene Cobb Jr. is an African-American hip-hop artist commonly known by his rap name 20Bello in Washington, DC. Early life 20Bello was born in Washington, DC in 1976. Although 20Bello was involved in many negative things in the streets of DC, he rarely spoke much of his ability to write, paint and draw. He would sometimes find a quiet place to just sit to write or draw whatever was around him. In 1991 he was urged by one of his Jr. High School teachers to audition for Duke Ellington School of the Arts. In 1994 after graduation he was shot twice by DC police during an attempted robbery. After 2 months in ICU, he was sentenced to a total of 20 years inwhich he served nearly 4. Upon his release in early 1998 and after experimenting with several rap groups, 20 set out on his solo career. In 2003, 20Bello started SkinnyFatz Entertainment. Snce then he has been on various stages, promoted various events and won many awards.
