2024 Duki coal mine attack

On 11 October 2024, at least 21 miners were killed and six others were injured in a terrorist attack on coal mines in Duki District of Balochistan, Pakistan.
Attack
In the early hours of 11 October 2024, the mine workers' accommodation at the Junaid Coal Company mines was attacked with heavy weapons, including rocket launchers and grenades in Duki District of Balochistan, Pakistan.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility from any group for the attack.
The victims also included three Afghan nationals, identified as Abdul Wali, Ghulam Ali, and Hayatullah.
In a statement, Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack and assigned its consulate in Quetta to assist the transfer of the bodies.
