2020 Yarra Ranges Shire election

The 2020 Yarra Ranges Shire Election will be conducted by postal voting in October 2020 to elect one councillor for each of the nine wards. Instant-runoff voting is used to count votes. Each councillor is elected for a 4-year term.

Key dates in relation to the election are:
* Thursday, 28 August 2020 - Close of Electoral Roles (4PM)
* Thursday, 17 September - Nominations Open
* Tuesday, 22 September - Nominations Close (12PM Noon)
* Tuesday, 6 October - Thursday, 8 September - Postal Ballots are mailed out
* Friday, 23 October - Voting is closed (6PM)
* Friday, 30 October 2020 - Last day for receipt of postal votes (12PM Noon)
* Friday, 13 November 2020 - Declaration of result
