2014 ICC World Twenty20

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 is an international cricket tournament which is proposed to be held in Pakistan in 2014. The Pakistan Cricket Board bid came in the aftermath of losing the rights of hosting major ICC tournaments incuding ICC Champions Trophy in 2008 and then its share of co-hosting the 2011 WORLD CUP matches due to security concerns.
There is a enormous chance that the ICC will accept the Pakistan's bid to host the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 as the security situation in the country is improving at a rapid pace and hopefully the condition in 2014 would be ideal to host the tournament.
Pakistan have reached the finals of both the ICC World Twenty20s to date, first in 2007 and then in 2009. They were runner-ups in the first and champions in the latter, this thus improves their case and ICC will be forced to consider the demand of the people of the cricket starved nation, the champions of T20.
"Venues"
Their are many cricket venues in Pakistan that could host the tournament matches. They include Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, National stadium Karachi, Arbab Niaz stadium Peshawer, Ayub National Stadium Quetta, Pindi Stadium Rawalpindi, Jinnah Stadium, Bahawalpur stadium, Multan stadium, Iqbal stadium Faisalabad among others.
