Background
According to police, Abhilash incurred the wrath of one of those in the gang for making teasing comments at his sister a few weeks back. This was suspected to be the motive behind the attack on Abhilash and his relatives who were going in the autorickshaw. The gang first smashed the glass window of the vehicle and then pulled out Abhilash and hacked his right hand with a sharp sword, police said.
